Playa Sotovento at Costa Calma is a huge, flat, sandy beach catering primarily for German families staying in the many large and up-market hotels which flank the beach.
There is a wealth of facilities and entertainment here. We saw a surf school and diving trips advertised at the beach, but many of the hotels have their own programme of events too. Some of the accommodation is in self catering holiday complexes, with a shared pool and leisure facilities. You certainly need a parasol or wind break on the beach, to keep the wind out: many families chose to sunbathe amongst the reeds and bushes at the back of the beach for this very reason.
In the Sotovento area of Cosat Calma itself there are shopping centres and a huge choice of places to eat and drink. NEXT ->
