Playa del Mattoral is the large, wide, flat sandy beach, at the more developed end of Morro Jable. To reach it, you must walk down a long board walk across the salt marsh, which is a site of special scientific interest.
The number of sunloungers, parasols, beach kiosks and bars here suggest that it is a popular spot. We found the wind just too stong when we visited (Easter 2009) and were glad to take a picture then escape out of the sand-blasting.
This is a particularly highly developed area - the coast road is lined with a long parade of shops, bars, restaurants, amusement arcades and other entertainment. It is all very new and purpose built with every tourist facility you could possibly wish for. NEXT ->
