Morro Jable, Jandia Playa - Playa de La Cebada Beach
This delightful beach was in the old part of Morro Jable on the Jandia peninsula, in the south of the island of Fuerteventura.
This was a pleasant, though busy place to be; much more sheltered than the larger beach of Playa del Mattoral, so not much sand blowing in your face. It sits on the edge of an old fishing village, which has now expanded to accommodate shops, bars and restaurants, without losing its atmosphere. Indeed, the fishing boats still go out each evening in the sunset to catch their days catch. If you eat here, their catch may well end up on your plate!
This shot was taken from the long pedestrian promenade, which runs along the beach from one side of the village to the other. NEXT ->
