Fuerteventura, Canary Islands : Isla de Lobos - rocky coast
We loved it. The boat ride over was... erm... exhilerating and certainly much more exciting than any log flume or fairground ride. We were covered in sea spray (though, to be fair, we could have chosen to sit indoors) and whooped with delight as we crashed from wave to wave! But we were lucky: you might not be so fortunate and, instead, get a flat, calm sea, and the relentless beating of the midday sun. We paid 8 Euros each for a return ticket (Easter 2009). "We found numerous little coves as we walked along the marked trails across the little island of Lobos. It is a beautiful, wild and totally unspoiled paradise. However, if you're looking for tourist facilities, look again. You will be lucky to even find a toilet here. We loved it.
