"The Sand Dunes of Fuerteventura are an impressive site, stretching for about 10 km along the coast and reaching 2 to 3 km inland. It is a protected site, known as the Parque Natural de las Dunas de Corralejo. (The two enormous Riu hotels on the beach were apparently built before the sand dunes were given their protected status). These pale, dazzling sands are quite beautiful and well worth a visit.
