Fuerteventura, Canary Islands : Corralejo - Harbour and beach
Here there are streets of apartments with little corner shops and mini supermarkets, as well as bars and cafes. We climbed over the wall and had a picnic on the beach here, where it was quiet and sheltered from the relentless wind. Most of the beach facilities are closer to the centre of town (about 20 minutes, or more walk away) but this was a good spot for playing on the beach or sun bathing, although it was a bit too sharp and stoney at the water's edge to make swimming an attractive idea.
