Our visit - Review
Butihondo is a self-contained, purpose-built resort in the south of Fuerteventura, on the Jandia peninsula. Catering primarily for the German market, it is pristine, neat and tidy and (to my eyes) devoid of any atmosphere whatsover. If you are looking for a place with a bit of history, look again. This rather sterile environment is far too brand-new for that kind of thing.
However, if what you want is a beautiful beach, a purpose-built resort with tennis courts, 4 and 5 star hotels, apartments, cafes, wind surfing (including a surf school), surfboards to hire, wind breaks (essential, believe me) all in a very well tended picturesque setting, then this place will suit you admirably.
